The Northrop/McDonnell Douglas YF-23 Black Widow II Lost In The USAFs Advanced Tatical Fighter Competition To The The F-22 Rapier. It Was Aminly Turned Down Because The Budget For Designing The Aircraft Was High. To Try Reduce Costs, It Uses The Nosewheel Of The F-15 Eagle And The Undercarrige Of The F/A-18 Hornet And They Had To Use Non-Thrust Vectoring Engines. But Is Is Technically Better Than The YF-22, Being 10% Stealthier. The Two Prototypes Are Currently In Storage. They Have Been Bought By NASA, Who Will Probably Destroy Them.
